Purpose
STDs (Rectal Swab) Test is conducted to detect pathogens causing sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). It’s used to diagnose STDs.
Patient Preparation
No special preparations are required.
Samples
One Rectal swab collected in a Vial with PreservCyt solution. The specimen is best obtained as soon as possible after the patient arises and prior to defecation or bathing. Maintain specimen at room temperature or refrigerate (2°C to 30°C).
